Things We Learned on Vacation

The Grant family stayed an extra night after Sam worked in Monticello. In that night, we learned some very valuable lessons. (When Katie was a youngin', she used to teach us valuable lessons, so here's a tribute to Kate!)

1. After becoming a parent, you rate a hotel on how easily it is baby proofed. (We definitely had some problems!)
2. If you feed your child unlimited graham crackers to pacify her in a restaurant, she later will throw them up on you.
3. Shopping is not fun while covered in puke.
4. A baby who appears to be sleeping can quickly wake up and roll off a bed. (Thanks Josh for saving your daughter!)
5. Napping is even less important on vacation.
6. Bring all the luggage!
